Pastor Chris Writes the Media on Nollywood

"Hello my brethren, by the special grace of God, I am Pastor Chris C. Godwin, the president of World Missionary Assistance Nigeria and the Shepherd of Fire House Ministries Lagos. I am writing to the media based on what I have foreseen coming up against the film industry of this our beloved Nation, of which if care is not taken, big calamity will befall this growing industry."

"The devil is fighting this film industry very well, most of these actors end up behaving and living what they acted in films, which is not suppose to be. After acting a particular film, no film is ordinary, there is a spirit behind every film you act, and every life you expose, every society you expose, every deity you expose."

Students' End-Of-Year Party Turns Into Clash With the Police

While their counterparts in various primary and secondary schools across the country were celebrating their 2012 end-of- the-year party in grand style, this was not the case for some secondary schools’ children in Ajeromi/Ifelodun Local Government Area, Ajegunle, Lagos, as their party ended abruptly in a brawl with men of Ajegunle Divisional Police Headquarters, last Thursday.
About 3, 000 students gathered on Akerele and Otuniyo Streets in Awodi-Ora area of the community to celebrate what many of them described as a hitch-free first term of the 2012/2013 academic session, which was heralded by an annual Inter-House Sports Competition organized by Awodi-Ora Secondary School, Ajegunle.
According to a student, who resides in the community, no fewer than 20 public secondary schools in the community had been invited by Awodi-Ora Secondary School for an inter-school relays competition. After the competition ended, some of the students who lived around hired a Disc-Jockey (DJ), who rented the air with musical jibes emanating from his loud speakers.

Merry Christmas In Advance! Petrol Hits N200 Per Liter In Calabar

As the Christmas season gradually takes full swing, long queues have returned to filling stations in Cross River State as fuel scarcity bites hard especially in Calabar, the state capital.
photoA liter of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) which was sold at N120 by independent marketers and the approved pump price of N97 in stations owned by major marketers two weeks ago now sells between N160 and N200 by independent marketers, while black market sells at N300 per litre.
And, no one needs to be told it is always easier to buy the product at black market. As at weekend, apart from North West Petroleum at the Parliamentary extension that had the product and sold at the approved price of N97 with a very long queue, other major marketers in the state capital did not have the product while the independent marketers sold at N200.

ACN, ANPP, CPC To Form New Party In 2013

Three major opposition political parties - Action Congress of Nigeria, Congress for Progressive Change and the All Nigeria Peoples Party – may drop their identities by April 2013, when talks on their proposed merger are expected to be completed.

The merger of the parties  is  one of the strategies being canvassed by some  politicians to defeat the ruling Peoples Democratic Party which has dominated power since the advent of the present democracy in 1999.
Analysts are of the opinion that any genuine and honest cooperation among opposition parties for the 2015 general elections could make the election tough for the PDP.
photoThe  Chairman of the ANPP National Rebuilding and Interparty Contact Committee, Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau, told journalists in Abuja on Sunday, that the merger talks between the three ACN, CPC  and ANPP had reached the last stage.
Shekarau, a   former Governor of Kano State, added that the chieftains of the three  parties had decided to forget their individual ambitions to make the fusion a success.
He  said  that  the leaders had realised that an alliance between the three parties would not work and that it was better for them to merge.

End Time signs Church brands members with ’666′ tattoos

The older I get the more amazed I get. When you think you’ve seen it all then something else comes along to top it. We know these are the End Days, Last Days (We’ll dicker around on the differences some other time) and we need to be vigilant but some things can be so ludicrous as to really deserve head shaking prayer for those involved. Now we have a Messiah that embraces the World System
